2025 Red, White, and Blue Ride - CANCELED

About this event

Ride Cancelled.

Dear Memphis Hightailers Members,

Thank you for being part of the incredible Memphis and MidSouth cycling community. The camaraderie, shared miles, and support we give one another are what make the Memphis Hightailers more than just a club—they make us a community on wheels.

🚴‍♂️ Rides That Bring Us Together
Each year, we’re proud to offer a calendar of supported rides designed to bring us together, challenge us, and celebrate the sport we love. These events rely not just on participation, but on the spirit of everyone who helps make them happen—riders, volunteers, and supporters alike.

However, with lower than expected early registration this year and unpredictable weather affecting turnout for our spring rides, we’ve had to make a tough call.

❌ July 5th, 2025 - Red, White & Blue Ride Cancelled
Despite our best efforts, we’ve received only 25 registrations for this year’s Red, White & Blue Ride—far short of what’s needed to organize the event safely and successfully. Rather than risk overextending our resources, we’ve made the decision to cancel this year's ride.

If you registered, you’ll be refunded in full. Members who joined at the $55 level to receive a free ride will still retain all their club benefits.

🇺🇸 The Spirit of July 4th Lives On: She2Sea Fundraiser Ride
The good news? Our free Independence Day ride is still on! Come out on July 4th and join us as we ride to raise funds and awareness for She2Sea, a dedicated team of cyclists who ride more than 500 miles in five days to honor lives touched by cancer.

We’d love to see you there in your red, white, and blue! Register today - https://www.memphishightailers.com/content.aspx?page_id=4091&club_id=631861&item_id=2451309

🙌 Help Us Keep the Wheels Turning
The Memphis Hightailers thrives on member energy and volunteer spirit. If you enjoy our supported rides and want to see them continue, there’s a place for you to get involved:

  • Sign up early for future events—this helps us plan better and keep costs down.
  • Volunteer to help manage rides, setup, registration, SAG support, or post-ride activities. Even a small effort makes a big difference.
  • Have ideas or connections for sponsorships? Let us know! Partnerships can help us keep rides affordable—or even free—for members.

We’re working toward a 2026 where all members can enjoy more free rides, community support, and the joy of cycling together.

Thank you again for being part of the journey. Together, we’ll keep the Memphis Hightailers rolling strong.

Warm regards,

Your Fellow Cyclists and Board of Directors
Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club
