These rides are subject to change without
notice to us. Please confirm ride details with the sponsoring bike shop.
The Exeter Escape is a nice recovery ride for those that had a hard ride on Saturday. The ride
is normally 40-45 miles. There are about 5 regroups spots; Mercedes Dealership, Tennis Courts
off Byhalia, and Gas Station at about the 20 mile mark where we normally take a 5-10 minute
break.. There are a few faster sections where the pace will normally hit a little higher, but
the group regroups to get back to the regular pace. End of ride pace stays at a B Pace. Ride
goes on all year. Canceled if raining at the start
The Café Cycle is a friendly ride that averages 12-16 mph and tries to avoid dropping riders.
This self-supported ride makes a rest stop so the participants can enjoy a cup of coffee (coffee
drinking not required) and socialize with other biking enthusiasts. After the break, the riders
sometimes separate into two groups, one which may ride at faster pace and follow a longer route
back to the Super-Lo.
This ride goes year-'round, and runs at 8am in the warm months (usually around April - October)
and 9am in the colder months (roughly October - April). The best way to find out the specifics
is our Facebook
page because we make the switch pretty much by group consensus.
Ride Leader: Mo Mehr
Start Location: Commercial Bank, 501 S. Mendenhall
Route: Flat, Moderate

**This ride is not for beginners It has an intermediate pace 17-19 mph
Are you a saint who
went to church on Sunday morning? Or are you a sinner who partied too much and just woke up
on Sunday afternoon? Either way, this is the ride for you. We try to be aware of riders with
different abilities and pace preferences - we will try to not really drop anyone, but
sometimes we fail at this endeavor. Varied routes, mostly urban. Lots of bumps, holes,
tracks and glass. Orange Mound, Windermere, Frayser, Shelby Farms, Pornos and Prisons Route,
North Mississippi, Beale, Summer Avenue, trolley tracks, Hooters, Stax, Elmwood Hospital.
Flats can happen - be prepared. Want a tame, sedate, bucolic, suburban nature ride? This
isn't it. Continues all year long.
Easy, casual ride through some of Southaven’s older and newer neighborhoods. This ride is a
great ride for those just starting out, or for those wanting an easy, social ride to hang
out with friends.
Ride will resume April 9
The MHBC Bikes Plus Wolf River Ride meets Sunday afternoons at the Penal Farm Parking Lot on
the corner of State Rd and Mullins Station Road across the street from the Shelby County
Clerks Office. Current meeting time is 4 pm. 2pm meeting time for Winter season (non
daylight savings time) We are a C pace ride. Minimum ride length is 20 miles max 42. We
explore the Shelby Farms Greenline, Wolf River Blvd and Greenway, the Hamp Line, Overton
Park and the trails of Shelby Farms.
MHBC Monday Gravel Monday 6pm Lakewood Dr in East Oakland Tennessee next to LovenFresh BBQ. All levels welcome it is a no drop ride with different pace groups formed as needed. Routes are 25 to 40 miles
The ride will focus on safe riding practices for the new rider and for the rider who doesn't
feel comfortable riding in more advanced or faster group rides. The ride will begin and end
at Cameron-Brown Park in Germantown and will have two 5 mile loops. Two groups available,
one group will average 12-14 mph and a slower group averaging around 10 mph. Both groups
will ride the same route with the faster group leaving first so if a rider can't keep the
pace they can slow and join the slower group.
Vintage: a period of origin or manufacture. Dust off your old vintage bike and join us for a
voyage back in time with a totally fun social cruise around the streets of the burbs on your
old school ride. Journey with others who share a passion for classic steel and enjoy wearing
tennis shoes and Bermuda shorts while cruising on their stem shifters. Bicycles 20 years old
or older are preferred on this ride and must be in good mechanical and riding condition.
Taillights strongly suggested and preferred. Traditional flat pedals only with toe clips and
straps if needed.
Ride will resume April 4
Unique early A/B
ride for working folks who want to sweat before leaving for work. We roll out from
Perkins at Wolf River and Germantown Road 5:45 AM. We ride out together and break into 2
speed groups. We don't tightly group, but will regroup often. The A group will do
the "big house loop" 2x...the B's do it once. The A's eventually catch the B's
around Kirby and Poplar. We don't "drop" anybody, but since everyone has to go to
work, we can't all hang around for major mechanicals...sorry. End of ride average
is usually 15-16 for the B and 18.5+ for the A. Lights are required for this
ride.
Winter Season Note: Start time is 5:45AM. We don't have a official "season." When temps get below mid 40s, we'll stop. When temps get above mid 40s we'll start back.
If you are looking for a relaxed B pace ride through Collierville look to more! If you can ride at a speed of 18-20 mph for 27 miles, then this is your ride! We will try not to leave anyone behind. We will have designated regroup / catch-up points to stay together and will have a mid-ride break at Johnson Park.
Meet us on Tuesdays at the Urban Air parking lot closest to Shelby Drive (10337 E Shelby Dr, Collierville). The ride will depart at 6pm starting Tuesdays in March and go through the Tuesdays in September.
If you are just starting group rides and can ride at a speed of 16-18 mph for 22 miles, then
this is your ride! We try not to leave anyone behind. The advanced group will set a quicker
pace with a ride speed of 18-20 mph. We also offer an upper / elite group that will have a
ride speed of 22 mph. All groups will have designated regroup / catch-up points to stay
together.
You're invited to stay
afterwards at The Mellow Mushroom Restaurant to choose from a variety of pizzas, salads,
subs, and 30-40 kinds of draft beer.
The Shelby Forest ride is a scenic weekday ride through the countryside of the Shelby Forest area. We rotate between three routes for variety,
each totaling 18-25 miles. This is a no-drop ride, but riders will need to at least be able to cycle at a 14-16 mph (D) pace.
The advanced group will have a quicker pace of 18-20 mph (B). We take a short rest break along the way.
Helmets are mandatory and front and rear lights are highly recommended.
This ride is seasonal and will begin the third Tuesday in April and go through the third Tuesday in September.
Ladies group that rides the Wolf River Trails. You should be fairly comfortable
riding a bike on dirt, but will help you conquer obstacles and difficult sections.
No drop ride! Trail speed ranges from 7 to 12 miles per hour depending on who
attends. We will not leave you in the woods!
Please make sure you have a mountain bike in good condition, (no road or commuter
bikes!), a helmet, a spare tube and inflation method, hydration, and a light. We prefer
a helmet light AND a bar light. Even if it looks like the ride will be in daylight, a
good cycling light IS required in case of emergency. It's not fun being stuck on the
trail after dark!
Ride begins at 6pm and is done by 7:45pm (usually 7:30pm). Please arrive a few
minutes early if possible to get your gear ready!
Ride will be cancelled during rain or when trails are muddy.
Ride 25 - 35 miles around Lakeland and Arlington area through rolling hills with very moderate climbs. Paces will be established by ride leaders available and group. Group pace will be aimed for A, B pace. This will be a no drop ride with designated regroups
established before the start of each ride. The elevation is not stifling but enough to challenge and strengthen riders. Once away from the Lake Center traffic will be light.
Year-round (weather permitting/temp above 40 degrees at start time). All rides have a mid-ride
bio-break. A great ride for casual riders to socialize with other cycling enthusiasts and for
experienced riders who want an ‘easy day/recovery ride’. Averages 12.5 to 15 mph and tries to avoid
dropping riders. The route is gentle, with just a few inclines. Helmets are required. No sweep.
Optional post-ride lunch (bring dry clothing).
Our group rolls out at 8:30 am From May to mid-October and at 9:15 am in the Winter Months (from
Mid-Oct to first of May)

Germantown. Originally designed as a moderate training rides, it includes several
slightly hilly sections and some higher-speed flat sections.

Soiree: an evening party or social gathering, especially one held for a
particular purpose. Extra points if you can pronounce the
word correctly, however articulate speech is not required - sweat &
slobber usually is! Come join us... parking is behind Swanky’s.
The route out is slower and has several stops and re-groups.
After the Big House Loop, we re-group, but we do not take a break.
The route back into town is typically faster, so we are usually
back at Swanky's by 8:00.
The Tour De Bartlett ride starts and ends at the Bartlett Rec Center

This ride is a B ride with only a rough average of 16.5 - 17
mph, cruising about 18 – 19 mph on the flats. There are two
routes that leads us down to Collierville and back, both
including the 'Go, Jim, Go' neighborhood, where the kids cheer
us on, if they are out.
DiD is still around, now as a MHBC group ride. Mike
and/or Terry will be leading a beginners/slow group every
week, but groups of all experience levels will be there. We
will start out at the parking lot to the Germantown Trail
head of the Wolf River Trails. The route will vary
each week depending on the trail conditions. We will
go out and back on the Yellow and Blue trails regrouping at
the Levees and other landmarks. Once back at the lot
the ride ends but it is typical for folks to hang out with
some refreshing beverages.
Ride will be cancelled during rain or when trails are muddy.
Ride will leave from St
Philip Episcopal Church at the intersection
of Davies Plantation & Davies Manor and, new for
2019, one Saturday each month it will start from Victory
Bicycle Studio on Broad Street. Watch the ride's
Facebook page for location announcements. The ride will
continue during the winter as long as the temperature is
above 40 degrees at start time. Routes are currently 43,
53 and 65 miles, with an average speed of 16-18 mph.
Rest stops approximately every hour.

The Saturday Smoothie Cruise ride is a social no-drop ride. We start at a distance of 28 miles and add miles as the year progresses. It is a C-paced ride which means 18 mph maximum on a flat road and equates to an end of ride average in the 14-15 mph range. Currently, due to road construction on Wolf River Blvd., we are enjoying the streets in and around Collierville and not stopping at the smoothie shop. We take a rest stop at Hinton Park which is an ideal location. The ride will generally continue throughout the year as long as the temperature is above 50 degrees at the start time. Start time is adjusted seasonally. We typically won’t start on wet streets and try to stay dry. We communicate through Facebook at MHBC Saturday Smoothie Cruise. Helmets and working rear lights are mandatory.
