North Parkway Bicycle Facilities - Public Meeting - May 24, 2011

Subject: North Parkway Bicycle Facilities - Public Meeting - May 24, 2011

Good afternoon!

Attached please find an invitation to join me on May 24, 2011 from 5:30pm-7:00pm for a presentation and discussion about proposed bicycle facilities along North Parkway.  Rhodes College has graciously offered to host the meeting in the Blount Auditorium in Buckman Hall on their campus.

North Parkway has been listed in the Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan since 2005 as a potential bicycle route.  As the city continues to expand its network of bicycle routes, enhancements along North Parkway have the potential to establish a safe link for bicyclists between downtown andOverton Park. Current projects like the Harahan Bridge and the Overton-Broad Connector to the Shelby Farms Greenline, and numerous other bike-related projects in downtown and midtown would connect to the proposed facilities on North Parkway.
Please feel free to distribute this invitation to anyone you feel might be interested in attending.

Best Regards,
