You're not seeing things. It's an indoor trail workday. In case you have not seen the information, Memphis police officer Aaron Feathers is starting an indoor mountain bike park in downtown Memphis. This is inspired by Rays MTB Park in Cleveland and Milwaukee. More information is available in the CA article

MSTA is helping get this project off the ground on Saturday March 12, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a combination clean up and construction day. According to Aaron the following tools are needed: "cordless drills, hammers, shovels, anything y'all can think of to build and clean I guess." This could be your chance to be in on the ground floor of something that could be another big move for Memphis cycling.
To help get this project moving, MSTA is matching donations to the effort up to a total of $500. If you want to donate to help buy building materials, we are accepting donations through our Paypal account. Go to Paypal and send money to
info@midsouthtrails.com . In the "Additional Comments" box state that this is a donation to River City Indoor Bike Park and we will do the rest.
MSTA will be cooking burgers for the workday, so if you plan to attend, please reply to this email so we have enough food.
The location is at the corner of St. Paul and Hernando Streets. This is behind the postal workers credit union which is across the street from the Third St. Post Office. Here is a link to the RCIBP web site
