Ed Garrison's RACE ACROSS THE WEST
Author Last Post
Tulio posted this in RIDES and REPORTS, but I thought this would be of special interest to this group. Since we have all ridden with Ed, I didn't want this to get lost in the flood of forum generated emails:

Folks have asked about watching my progress in RAW from San Diego, CA to Durango, CO.

Here are relevant details.
I will be assigned a start time which should be between 12 noon and 1 pm pacific standard time on Wed. June 13th. I have 90 hours to finish the race – approx. 900 miles. Last year, I made it to Prescott, AZ (Time Station 7) before having to drop out due to excessive dehydration. This year, I plan to drop a big gorilla off my back in Prescott on the way through.

You can track my progress in one of 3 ways:
EMAIL UPDATES – Up until race start, I will send out a few emails, Then members of my crew – if they have time – will try to send out a few emails along the way, but they will be very busy once the race starts.

ONLINE – RAAM Website
This website shows data posted at the last Time Station that I checked in at, so I am typically further down the route than what you see here. This is the official race website, so lots of other information about RAW and RAAM, info. and pictures of my crew, etc. (go to tab on Racers, then Race Roster, then select for ‘RAW’ on the Race tab)
1. Go to www.raceacrossamerica.org
2. Click on Results tab
3. Click on 2012 Leader board
4. On the Race Coverage Navigation section, select for 2012, then click on RAW (solos)
5. Scroll down to 50-59 age group, and I am the first racer listed: (R101) – Garrison’s Gorillas

ONLINE – My Athlete Live website
This website shows real time data with exact location and current speed
1. Go to myathletelive.com
2. Top right corner- click on track athlete
3. That will bring you to an event page; click on the event (Race Across The West – RAW; or it may show up as Race Across America - RAAM)
4. Click on name(will be in alphabetical order by first names)
5. A US map will appear, and you will see the current position and speed (hopefully not at ‘0.00’
